EXCITED
Please help me figure this out....I Just read a post that states weightloss is APPROX 70%(to be successful) I was under the impression that if I lost 30% I was lucky,so If I am 400lbs(hell I am off by 2 lbs) and I loose 70% that is 280 lbs making me 120???? Please help me here, because I don't EVER wanna weight 120lbs. So if I loose 30% I will weight 280lbs and 50% gets me to my goal weight of 200lbs and if I go 55% can be in onderland and weight 180????? Am I doing this right it sounds to good to be true and it is 3:47am and my brain may not be working well as I am dealing with my Grandfathers stroke so maybe I am way off on the numbers. If I could be 180lbs I am going to have to pray that my head does not get too big b/c I will be fierce...lol... I should also note I am 5'8" with a large frame and I think the ideal weight for me is 167??? and if I loose 41.75% or 42% which gives me 168 I am healthy??? OH My and why am I not doing my preop correctly??? I am following Drs order as of tomorrow and live as pre-op as instructed been making excuses b/c I am still deciding on which surgery but I have 30lbs to loose b4 surgery anyway ,so those bring all the percentages up actually to get to those calculated weights. PLEASE tell me if I am fantasizing about these numbers someone please give me correct numbers if I am wrong
I am going to post this around just to be sure
You sound very excited but the numbers are based upon your performance. If you do the work and work the tool you will make it to your goal weight. Your body will go where it needs to go. My doctors consider me a success I am still overweight. I weigh 300lbs . I was almost 600 when I started. I am by no means a success but the larger you are they dont even talk realistically about certain things. The percentages are based on overall research. Most people lose between 50 and 70% of their weight. I am sitting where most people start....Right now...I would like to lose half of my weight. but I have to take inconsideration where I started and how much of the weight is skin. I have a lot of skin. With that being said...I calculate that if I can lost 75 to 100lbs and have reconstructive surgery I will reach my goals once all is achieved.
My advice. work your tool, eat, drink, exercise and do not self sabotage and you will reach your goals.
Feel better soon! I hope your daughter doesn't catch it.
I know you don't feel like eating, but be sure to drink plenty of liquids....green tea is good.
